The Emergency Center is the front door to Bristol Hospital – constantly being opened each year by over 40,000 patients. Every one of these patients needs attentive care from quality professionals, in a setting designed to meet their individual needs.
The Expansion Plan aims to create a more comfortable setting for young patients with a dedicated Pediatric Area – designed just for kids!
This expansion is also set to deliver a dedicated Behavioral Health area to support the high level of care and attention that patients need.
A strategic planning team has worked with architects on a full expansion & renovation plan to support the exceptional, world class service that this community needs.
Explore the Foundation’s annual events for more ways to get involved or for sponsorship opportunities. Help us expand the
Emergency Center – and enjoy a fun-filled time with friends and community partners.
Each day, Dr. Lim and his colleagues treat patients overdosing on opioids and heroin with the antidote, Narcan. As the opioid epidemic reaches crisis levels, Dr. Lim and the Bristol Hospital Emergency Center are sending home a prescription for a second dose of Narcan to each patient who has been treated with Narcan for an overdose.Read Dr. Lim's Story
